Standardizing the word part-of-speech when writing Japanese textbooks can guide students to learn the characteristics and laws of Japanese language and find out the differences between Japanese and Chinese. In this article, we found that 5% of the words in “New Japanese (Revised) 1” have errors in part-of-speech labeling or incomplete labeling. Although the percentage is not very high, these 5% words are hidden in Japanese Features, is a blind spot that students can easily overlook and can not easily understand when learning Japanese. The mistakes in students’ compositions also clearly reveal the fact that students ignore the part-of-speech, which is one of the reasons students can hardly get rid of Chinese and can not really control Japanese. At the same time, Japanese and Chinese have a high percentage of multi-part-word words and mastery of part-of-speech is an important part of Japanese language learning.
