飞机起落架是飞机上一个非常重要的部件,它是飞机在地面停放、滑跑、承受飞机载荷,并为飞机提供滑行操纵和制动力的起飞着陆装置。飞机的着陆冲击能量除一小部分由飞机结构变形吸收外,大部分还是由起落架来吸收。从1903年莱特兄弟发明飞机以来,起落架的发展也经历了很多发展阶段,它的发展适应于各个不同阶段飞机性能的需要,是与飞机机体的发展密不可分的。随着飞机重量和滑跑速度的进一步提高,以及人们对乘坐质量的更高要求,对起落架性能的要求也越来越高,起落架的设计变得越来越重要。
