1919年在苏俄远东地区曾发起一次泛蒙运动,此次运动被认为有日本支持背景,不仅涉及苏俄远东地区各派政治力量重组,而且影响到呼伦贝尔以及外蒙古的政治局势,因此引起民国政府高度重视。在这场运动中,风闻新疆蒙古郡王帕拉塔也卷入其中,甚至被推戴为运动领袖。此时恰好帕拉塔确实正在日本。帕拉塔究竟是借看病赴日秘密活动呢,还是为摆脱沉疴纠缠求医东渡?本文拟就所见史料,对此问题作一探究。
