Objective: To investigate the effect of acupoint catgut implantation on the walking ability of cerebral palsy children. Methods: Sixty children with cerebral palsy were randomly divided into acupuncture rehabilitation group and embedding rehabilitation group. Under the premise of rehabilitation training, the control group received 5 consecutive days of body acupuncture treatment. The treatment group was given a catgut embedding once a week. The total scores of C, D and E in the Gross Motor Scale (GMFM) were compared at the end of the junior high school for treatment. At the same time in a course of treatment after the determination of muscle strength and 1-minute walking distance measurement comparison. Results: There was no significant difference in the total scores of C, D, E between the two groups in the first evaluation (P> 0.05). The score of embedding rehabilitation group was higher than that of acupuncture rehabilitation group (P <0.05), and there were significant differences among the groups (P <0.05). There was a significant difference between the two groups after the last evaluation (P <0.05), there was no significant difference between the acupuncture rehabilitation group and the middle evaluation group (P> 0.05), while there were significant differences between the two groups Significance (P <0.05). Muscle strength after treatment was significantly different between the two groups (P <0.05). The result of 1 minute walk test showed that there was a significant difference in walking distance between the two groups after treatment (P <0.01). Conclusion: Acupoint embedding technique improves the muscle strength and muscle control ability in children, and significantly improves the walking ability.
