The history of formal law schools in the United States is even earlier than the formal establishment of their country. The first law school was the Litchfield School of Law founded in 1784, and since then, Harvard Law School, established in 1817 and Yale Law School in 1824, played an important role in the history of American law education. However, the system of training legal personnel in such a regular law school was once under pressure and its development was not easy.
