Section D of Meishan, Changxing, South China, is the section of the world where two gold nails (the Permian-Triassic boundary strata and their points and the Wujiaping-Changxing boundary line strata and points) are located. The Upper Permian-Lower Triassic of the Meishan section is composed of the top of the Longtan Formation, the Changxing Formation, the Yinkeng Formation, the Longshan Formation and the lower part of the Nanlinghu Formation from bottom to top. Based on the research results of conodont in Meishan section in recent three decades, the Late Permian-Early Triassic conodont sequence of the section has been summarized into 13 conodonts from bottom to top, which are: 1) Neogondolella orientalis-Neogondolella longicuspidata zone (top of Longtan Formation - bottom of Changxing Formation: layers 1 to 4a-1); 2) Neogondolella wangi zone (lower part of Changxing Formation: layers 4a-2 to 10) Point calibration of the world’s Changxing bottom gold nails; 3) Neogondolella
