The main target of this study is researching the structure properties of metal complexes formed by transition metal cation and Pb2+ cation with 2,2′-diamino-4,4′-bi-thiazole (DABT). We have synthesized and determined twenty new X-ray structures of metal complexes formed by Cr3+, Mn2+, Co2+,Ni2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Pb2+ with DABT and benzimidazole. We have found that,in most conditions, the two thiazole rings of DABT are approximately coplanar to chelate to the same metal cation and there are π-stacking of adjacent thiaole rings of DABT in some complexes. The Pb2+ cation is hemidirected coordinated to other ligands. Special complex which formed by DABT, fumaric acid and Pb2+, in which the DABT has two roles, one is chelating to Pb2+ and other is bridging to two adjacent complexes by the hydrogen bond formed by the H atom of amino group of DABT rings.
