Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is considered as one of the most commoninfertility factors in women of reproductive age.In vitro fertilization (IVF) is onetechnique of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) that is used to infertile couplesfor having an offspring. This paper objective is (1) to understand the correlationbetween the hormone level (Progesterone and estradiol) during HCG injection with theresult ofIn vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) in patient with PCOS.(2) Todetermine the correlation between serum progesterone level ratios in each oocyteretrieved with the result of IVF-ET in patient with PCOS.(3) To find any correlationbetween non PCOS patient and patients with PCOS in area of serum Progesterone perEstradiol level. That it should be able to help the corresponding physician to determinethe next step following the serum progesterone level of blood examination resuk in thepatient during HCG injection and what to reconsider depend to the result of thelaboratorial examination without the need to do the procedure that have high chance offailure. This study is observational experimental work with case-control study design. The result showed no significant difference between the group with serumprogesterone level less than 3 and the group with serum progesterone level more thanequal 3 (P=0.802, CI=95%).As for the estradiol group there is no significantdifferences between the two groups (P=0.283, CI=95%), but we can find quite largedifferent in the success rate between the group with the estradiol less than 10.000pmol/L than the group with the estradiol level more than 10.000 pmol/L (51.7% and36% respectively). Another result showed a significant difference in the serum progesterone peroocyte level between the two groups (P=0,010, CI=95%) with mean level in PCOSpatients is lower than non PCOS patients (0,1926 and 0,3081 respectively), but nosignificant difference in the serum progesterone per estradiol level (P=0,411, CI=95%)PCOS patients and non PCOS patients mean level (0,00183 and 0,00029 respectively). In conclusion there is no significant difference between the hormone level(Progesterone) during HCG injection with the result of In vitro fertilization and embryotransfer (IVF-ET) in patient with PCOS.
