The theme of this article is big history, but the subject of concern is small: just a building, Tiananmen Square. The big historical perspective and the narrative framework are unusually large and often start with the Big Bang; in contrast, Tiananmen is just a very short-lived present after the Big Bang. However, this article takes a new approach to connect Tiananmen Square with several major periods of great history - inanimate history, life history and human history - to build up a small history that is not only an idea or perspective but also a Research methods. Although it may be weird at first, the notion of small big histories (we can count on the newness of the history of the entire universe as far as Tiananmen can go? In the other hand, what does Tiananmen mean to the entire history of the universe?) , But it is enough for us to comprehend the history of large and small-scale research topics, open up new perspectives and even enlightenment.
