Russia and Europe have conflicts or frictions in such fields as energy investment, energy transit transport, energy contract prices and the opening up of the energy market. The energy issue in Russia and Ukraine is the prism that reflects the energy conflicts between Russia and Europe. Russian-European energy crisis response mechanisms include initiating energy talks, using early warning mechanisms for energy crisis, seeking the European Energy Charter, referring to the Arbitration Commission and resorting to the International Court of Justice. Building a common energy space between Russia and Europe is the fundamental solution to the energy conflicts between Russia and the EU.
