Mass communication may not affect how people think, but it can affect what people think. Among a given set of questions and topics, issues or topics that get more media attention will become familiar to people for some time, and their importance will also be increasingly perceived by people; those that receive less attention Questions or topics are correspondingly declining in this regard. Therefore, what is promulgated or diluted by the media often affects the public’s attention or ignores something, and the communication agendas surround the public agenda. This article will use two examples to uncover the international spread of the U.S. media using the “agenda setting.”
