5月4日,“崇礼门修复竣工纪念仪式”在首尔举行,意味着2008年遭遇火灾的韩国第一国宝“崇礼门”已经修复完毕,并将重新对公众开放。崇礼门是朝鲜时代围绕首尔城廓的正门,由正面五间、侧面两间组成的双层四坡顶多包样式门楼。崇礼门始建于1395年,1398年竣工。日本侵略时期,崇礼门左右边的城廓被日本当局拆掉,以便电车与车辆的通行,崇礼门从此结束了作为正门的功能。
On May 4, the ceremony to mark the completion of Chong Nam Men Gate was held in Seoul. It means the first national treasure in Korea, Chong Nam Gate, which was hit in 2008, has been repaired and will be reopened to the public. Sungnyemun is the main entrance to Seoul’s cityscape around the Joseon Dynasty. It consists of five double-sided, four-sided multi-storey style towers with two front and two sides. Chongli door was built in 1395, completed in 1398. During the period of Japanese aggression, the cityscape on the left and right of Sungryemun gate was removed by Japanese authorities in order to facilitate the passage of trams and vehicles. Thus, Sungn gate ended its function as a front gate.
