外语教学的教学效果始终是教学研究的中心议题,其中对教学后的语言使用问题更是重点,基于此,从语用能力入手,提出语用失误归根结底是符号认知的失误,并在此基础上提出了符号认知能力。在符号学相关理论的基础上把符号认知能力分成三种能力,即语义能力、解释能力和社会认知能力,并根据这种三种能力,分别提出了三种教学方法。符号能力的提高将极大地提高语言使用者的语言使用能力。
