On April 18, Compaq suddenly announced that its CEO, Eckhard Pfeiffer and CFO Earl Mason “will no longer work for the company.” Mason’s departure was “another responsibility” - to a company independent of the computer industry as CEO, while Pfeiffer’s roll over was another story. If anyone of you ever looks at InfoBaddy Insider, remember the recent reports on Compaq’s stock, pricing and overall performance, and obviously the PC manufacturing boss is in a poor state. This big change has taken place right now. But many other companies are not without trouble, but will not appear high-level changes. Why does Compaq have this change? And why did it happen so suddenly?
