德治观在中国传统儒家思想中占有重要的位置。在先秦时期,建立在血缘基础之上“亲亲”之情构成了先秦儒家德治思想的逻辑基础;在伦理政治化的推动下,“尊尊”之秩逐渐成为维护宗法等级的国之大礼,是国家政治生活秩序的根本伦理之道。其后,孔子、孟子、荀子等在继承前人伦理政治思想的基础上,先后提出“为政以德”“慎刑宽民”“以德化民”等思想,推动了儒家德治思想的全面展开。作为伦理政治化与政治伦理化相统一的儒家德治观,成为了影响中国数千年的理国理念,并为今日中国的依法治国、依德治国建设提供了丰富的理论资源。
