随着全球经济一体化的推进,跨文化交际能力变得越来越重要,英语教学中进行多元文化教学已经成为中国英语教育界的共识。近年来,大学生用英语表达母语文化的能力不容乐观,母语文化失语及能力退化现象越来越严重。本文通过对作者所在高校英语专业165名学生的母语文化认知程度及表达能力进行问卷调查及测试,分析该现象形成的主观及客观原因,并提出建议以期帮助学生及教师重新重视母语文化在跨文化交际能力中的重要性。
