Subway passengers in Poland certainly hope that the second subway line in Warsaw will be built a little faster than the first one. For decades, the subway project was repeatedly forced to cease due to the Warsaw uprising during the Second World War, the Nazi flash attacks and the shelling of the Soviet Union, as well as the financial deficit in the post-war period. Finally, the construction of the subway project started in the 1980s in full swing, and was forced to postpone the impact of the political turmoil. Technically speaking, the new line should be built faster. With the adoption of 4 modern shields (Figure 1), unlike the first subway line with open cut method, tunnel excavation of 7km in length can be completed in 2013, 2014 ready to start. Construction of seven stations and six ventilation structures and substations will also be accelerated because of the use of a continuous wall as a foundation pit construction method.
