In 1982, I collected a group of Ordovician microfossils from the Ercun section at a distance of 22km northwest of Kunming, Yunnan. Among them, some peculiarly shaped and loose powder was found in the upper grayish-green sandy shale of the Hongshiya Formation. Songhua fossils, through the Mesozoic and Cenozoic pine pollen phase difference, ruled out the possibility of sample mixing, to further determine the fossil samples for the original product, which may be algae.
