三峡船闸自2003年开始投入运行,过闸运量高速增长,2005年～2011年(2012年主要受经济大势影响,过闸运量略有下降)三峡船闸过闸货运量年均增速达20.41%,平均每年增长约1,124万吨。2011年过闸货物运量达到1.003亿吨,突破亿吨并实现设计目标值。三峡工程航运效益的充分发挥,促进了长江航运的快速发展。
Three Gorges ship lock has been put into operation since 2003 and the volume of over-gate traffic has been increasing rapidly. From 2005 to 2011 (slightly affected by the economic downturn in 2012, the volume of over-gate traffic slightly decreased) and the average annual growth rate of the ship lock of the Three Gorges Project reached 20.41 %, With an average annual increase of about 11.24 million tons. In 2011, the cargo throughput of over-lock reached 100.3 million tons, breaking through 100 million tons and achieving the design target value. The full development of the Three Gorges Project shipping benefit has promoted the rapid development of the Yangtze River shipping.
