豆卢氏与源氏家族均是汉化程度较高的鲜卑贵族家族。二者都主要活动于北朝隋唐时期,家族繁衍数百年,在当时的政治、军事、经济、文化等领域都有较为重要的影响。而两个家族的发展历程又有着一些明显的不同,如在入魏的身份、改姓原因等方面的差异。这又进一步影响到二者在北魏的社会地位和影响力,以及早期的发展情况。而且导致豆卢氏家族整个的发展历程更为曲折,甚至出现过“鲜卑化”回流的现象,与源氏家族明显不同。通过对这两个少数民族贵族家族的比较研究,能够使我们加深对于少数民族汉化过程中外部环境因素和少数民族群体规模等因素的认识,推动相关研究的深化发展。
