PCK的核心内涵是将学术形态的学科知识转化为教学形态的学科知识。PCK发展是大学教师教学能力提高的前提和必要条件,这一发展不但能够促进教师实践智慧的养成,而且能够促进教师教学学术的发展。在PCK视角下,大学英语教师一要勤于学习,提高专业知识和专业技能;二要善于反思,在实践和教学研究中促进教师PCK发展;三要主动交流,以实践共同体为纽带丰富教师PCK,不断提高大学英语教师的教学能力和水平,促进教学发展。
