For the installation position of the heat pipe guide tube, the general design reference only states that the guide pipe support needs to be installed on the straight pipe sections on both sides of the Π-shaped compensator or at certain intervals (as shown in Figure 1 D1, D2, D3, D4), without mentioning that a guide tube holder (D5, D6 as shown in FIG. 1) is added to the vertically-mounted Π-shaped compensator arm. According to the author’s practical experience that, in the longer and no turn
