Monotone is a set of theories put forward by the German philosopher Leibniz in 1714, at which time the development of tonality in music is eager, and the focus of the development of tonality music gradually shifts to Germany. It is no coincidence that music and philosophy echoes in Germany in the 18th century, and it shows that the two are closely inter-connected and inter-connected. The article analyzes Leibniz’s theory of the theory of monism in an in-depth way and attempts to prove the covert relationship between philosophy and music, which are seemingly unrelated to each other.
