Shortly after Mummenschanz debuted, there was a commentary saying that the theater reminds Bauhaus. It was late in the 1970s that the Bauhaus drama had vanished for decades. However, it seems overnight that the mechanical masks and quasi-costumes advocated by Schlemmer are back and they gather together under dim stage lights to tell the story of the emptiness behind the show. But this is just the illusion As soon as they walked into Mummenschanz’s theater, sensitive audiences soon realized that they were not Bauhaus.
