郭沫若四十年代的杂文创作主要表现为“为政治的文学”“为人民的文学”和“批判的文学”三个方面,其中,为政治的文学构成了郭沫若文艺观的基本点,为人民的文学是郭沫若文艺观的中心,批判的文学是郭沫若文艺观的介入方式。郭沫若的文艺观深受毛泽东《在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话》的影响,是左翼文艺思想的典范,是中共意识形态的重要组成部分。
