目前,关于《诗经》英译本的研究多侧重于对国外热点理论学说的结合运用和翻译策略的宏观探讨,译本中的误译现象却一直未得到应有的关注。笔者认为,《诗经》英译本中存在着较为普遍的误译现象,即使向来被誉为“标准译本”的理雅各韵文全译本也难辞其咎。本文认为,《诗经》既是一部中国最早的诗歌选集又是中国悠久的经学传统理念下的经学著作,因而《诗经》英译本要担负起传播中国古老的诗歌艺术 At present, the research on the English versions of The Book of Songs focuses more on the combined use of foreign hot theoretical theories and translation strategies. The mistranslation phenomenon in translation versions has not received due attention. In my opinion, there is a common phenomenon of mistranslation in the English translations of the Book of Poetry. Even the full translation of the verses of James Legge, which has long been hailed as the “Standard Version,” is hard to blame. This paper argues that the Book of Songs is not only one of China’s earliest anthologies of poems but also a long period of classical Chinese studies of Confucian classics. Therefore, the English translation of The Book of Songs is responsible for the dissemination of ancient Chinese poetry
