Rapamycin (rapamycin) is a macrolide immunosuppressant that can be artificially synthesized, under the trade name Rapamune. Rapamycin has a more potent inhibitory effect on soluble IL2 receptor released from peripheral blood monocytes than cyclosporine in vitro and has nothing to do with activation. The drug on PHA-stimulated human lymphocyte DNA and protein synthesis inhibition, compared with the role of primary mouse thymocytes
