“老巴夺”(Lopato)现在是哈尔滨卷烟厂的一种香烟品牌,也是哈尔滨卷烟厂的另一种称谓,它最早是哈尔滨卷烟厂创建者的名子。对于大多数哈尔滨市民来说,“烟厂”(老巴夺)如同“秋林”、“道里”、“江堰”等等一样是非常熟悉、常用的名子。一方面,烟厂代表着与人们日常生活有着密切联系的一个地理方位,它位于南岗区山街(现称一曼街),从道外区一上坡就能看到的非常醒目的巨大黄色楼房；另一方面,“烟厂”不仅是一个普通的街区名子,同时它也代表着哈尔滨这座城市发展的一段独特文化与历史。笔者在查阅了大量哈尔滨历史档案、地方志基础上,结合老巴夺后代派粹克·老巴夺(PatrickLopato)所给予的帮助,试图对老巴夺家族在哈尔滨的活动情况做出一个较为完整的梳理。
Lopato, now a cigarette brand at Harbin Cigarette Factory and another name for Harbin Cigarette Factory, was first to become the creator of Harbin Cigarette Factory. For most Harbin citizens, “Tobacco Factory” (Laobaoba) is a very familiar and commonly used name, just like “Qiulin”, “Daoli”, “Jiangyan” and so on. On the one hand, the tobacco factory represents a geographical position closely related to people’s daily life. It is located in the hill town of Nangang District (now known as Mann Street). From the up-slope of the outer area, you can see the striking huge yellow building On the other hand, “Tobacco Factory” is not only an ordinary neighborhood name, but it also represents a unique culture and history of Harbin’s development. On the basis of consulting a large number of historical archives and local records in Harbin, with the help given by Patrick Laopato, Lao Ba’s descendants attempt to make a relatively complete picture of Lao Pa’s activities in Harbin Comb.
