Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression level of snail in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and the expression level of snail and the clinicopathological features of NSCLC patients. Methods NSCLC patients underwent intraoperative resection of cancerous tissue, paired paraneoplastic tissue, and normal lung tissue resected due to benign disease. Real-time immunofluorescence quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the expression of snail mRNA and immunohistochemical S-P method to detect the expression of snail protein. Results The mRNA and protein expression of snail in NSCLC tissues were significantly higher than those in paired adjacent tissues (P<0.01) and normal lung tissue samples (P<0.01). The positive expression of snail mRNA and protein was related to lymph node metastasis and clinical staging of NSCLC (P< 0.05). Conclusion High expression of snail may promote the metastasis of NSCLC to a certain extent. Snail can be used as a reference factor to judge the malignancy degree of NSCLC and a high risk factor for poor prognosis. It is an in-depth study and targeted therapy of snail’s morphological and functional experiments. Provides an important foundation.
