Objective To investigate the effects of personalized education on metabolic control and self-care behaviors in type 2 diabetic patients. Methods 100 patients with type 2 diabetes were managed and regularly followed up with comprehensive intervention. Results Six months after follow-up, the follow-up management group was significantly better than the control group in fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose, Hb A1c, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein, and low density lipoprotein (P <0.05) (P <0.05). Diet, exercise management, blood glucose monitoring and foot care were significantly better than those of the control group in compliance rate of self-care behavior. The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Personalized education can improve the self-management ability of patients with type 2 diabetes so that metabolic indicators can be more sustained control.
