Since June 2011, cities such as Wuhan, Beijing, Changsha and Chengdu have successively caused urban waterlogging, drainage and traffic system paralysis due to sudden heavy rains. The successive occurrence of waterlogging disasters in major cities exposed the defects of urban water supply and drainage system and triggered the thinking of urban planning industry: Does urban water supply and drainage planning meet the actual drainage demand? Does urban planning management respond to sudden disasters? In contrast, sewers in foreign countries such as Paris, France, can withstand the test of 100-year urban expansion and have been in use ever since; such as the Drainage and Flood Prevention System in the ancient city of Ganzhou in Jiangsu Province so far have been Ze’s descendants, which should arouse the thinking of planning practitioners. For this reason, this issue salon invited experts and scholars to reflect on three aspects of comprehensive utilization of underground space in response to sudden urban disasters, urban water supply and drainage planning and vertical planning standards, how to deal with urban planning and management of sudden disasters, and so on , In order to get some inspiration from.
