Objective To investigate the effects of zinc, calcium, copper and selenium levels on the accumulation and transport of placental cadmium. Methods 73 pregnant women undergoing pregnancy were divided into observation group (31 cases with serum cadmium> 1 200 ng / L) and control group (42 cases with serum cadmium 300-1,200 ng / L) according to the level of serum cadmium test. Cadmium levels in blood and placenta and umbilical cord blood of pregnant women were detected by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Serum calcium and zinc were detected by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry and selenium was detected by atomic fluorescence spectrometry. Compare the two groups of nutrients and placenta, umbilical cord blood cadmium levels. Results There was no difference in serum calcium levels between the two groups (P> 0.05). The levels of serum zinc, copper and selenium in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group. The levels of placenta and umbilical cord blood were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The levels of blood zinc, copper and selenium may be the key factors affecting the accumulation and transport of placental cadmium. The rational nutrition supplement during pregnancy is of great importance to reduce the accumulation and transport of placental cadmium.
