随着现代信息技术的发展,利用互联网、数据库、GIS等技术手段加快土壤科学研究进展已经成为发展趋势。宁夏土壤科学在近70年的发展中取得了详实的基础数据和丰富的研究资料,但是基于现代信息技术的宁夏土壤数据库尚未建立。本文在收集整理宁夏土壤资料的基础上,设计并开发了基于WebGIS的宁夏土壤数据库,数据库采用三层网络结构的B/S模型进行设计,分别为客户端浏览器、中间应用服务器和底层数据库服务器,其中客户端采用了基于Silverlight的富客户端技术,增强了数据库的访问和交互效果。运行试验结果显示,数据库界面友好、响应灵敏、操作便捷且稳定性高,可向农业管理部门、科研机构、基层农技部门等提供宁夏土壤数据资料的访问查询、统计计算、空间分析等功能,基本满足农业管理和技术推广服务的需求。
