Luis Erdrich is one of the most Native American writers in contemporary American writing. In this work, she not only wrote the history of suffering and psychological trauma of Indians and mixed race groups, but also elaborated on the complicated psychological entanglement of some white people in this historical memory and triggered the discussion of the Indian history, current situation and future For more in-depth thinking. Based on the cultural trauma theory of Jeffrey Alexander, this article attempts to interpret the collective trauma experienced by Indians and mixed race groups in his works, analyze the process of their occurrence and influence on different ethnic groups, revealing the author’s native-American literary creation unique.
