中国戏曲的生存与发展,有着一大批坚守“活体传承”的坚韧守美者,徐为先生就是其中的一位。《徐为剧作选》既具有反封建意义和教育价值,又体现了多元的美学追求,让我们能以更广阔的视野去思考中国戏曲的走向:运用王国维的“以歌舞演故事”应有剧限,那才会不失戏曲的本质;寓当下性的戏曲性,与剧本要有严格的思想蕴涵是不矛盾的;戏曲的美学基础就定位在观众“接受美学”的欢笑与泪水之会通的共鸣中。
