Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in humans and has a high mortality rate. Detecting the presence of secreted tumor cells in peripheral blood prior to detection of tumor metastasis by conventional imaging has important implications for predicting tumor recurrence, metastasis, and guiding clinical treatment. Telomerase is closely related to the malignant transformation of cells, the development of tumors, and the telomerase catalytic subunit (hTERT) may play an important role in the regulation of telomerase activity.
