The Chinese economy grew a robust 9.6 percent in the third quarter of this year, maintaining its sound mo-mentum even though the quarterly growth rate was 0.7 percentage points less than that of the second quarter, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced on October 21. The growth has been largely spurred by domestic consumption instead offoreign markets.
