This paper describes the role of nondestructive hardness measurement in the production process. The theoretical basis and working principle of ultrasonic hardness measurement and the structure, algorithm and characteristics of HRVA-1 microcomputer ultrasonic hardness tester are introduced. In the practical application of ultrasonic hardness measurement error caused by the factors, conducted a detailed analysis, demonstration, so that users grasp their performance, give full play to its strengths, to expand the application areas.
