In June 2001, I visited Azerbaijan with the delegation of the Eastern European Central Asian Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Earlier, I had some knowledge of the country, but mostly from book knowledge. For example, I knew that there was a “Naka” conflict with Armenia, namely the dispute over the ownership of Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Prefecture, but not I know that Azerbaijan is a country based on oil and that the development of the oil industry directly affects the rise and fall of the country. However, the specific situation is not well understood. This time I came to this country on the Caspian Sea to further deepen my understanding of the country through my visit. Although the visit was more than a year ago, Azerbaijan left a deep impression on me and has been unforgettable to date.
