剑阁县武连镇新桥村横梁子,当地人俗称佛儿岩,海拨700多米。西距川陕公路500多米,北距古蜀(驿)道近700米。此处共有造像16龛,像48尊。石刻雕凿在一块长6、高4.4米的青砂石上,面南而造(图版叁,1)。此处造像规模虽然不大,但因它是初唐贞观二十一年(公元647年)的造像,在川北极少,加之风格独具,又集中了佛道两家的一些特点,故极为珍贵。我们将这些造像按从左至右、从上到下的顺序编号。现将调查的情况报告如下。1号龛龛口呈拱形,龛楣有回形刻纹,龛下沿有三朵莲花饰纹。此龛高58、宽52、深13厘米。内造五身像,规制为初唐的一佛、二菩萨、二弟子。主像结跏趺坐于须弥座 Jiange County, Wu Lianzhen Xin Qiao Village beam, local people commonly known as Buddha rock, altitude more than 700 meters.
