日本电报电话公司将在八户-苫小牧间和宫崎-冲绳间分别敷设长280km和790km的海底光缆。迄今为止,由美国电话电报公司在西班牙领地金丝雀诸岛敷设的海底光缆,全长120km,传输容量280Mbit,长度和容量均属世界之最。但这次由日本敷设的海底光缆不仅距离超过了它,而且传输容量也是世界最大,为400Mbit。
Nippon Telegraph and Telephone will lay submarine cables of 280km and 790km in length between Hachinohe-Tomakomai and Miyazaki-Okinawa. To date, the undersea fiber optic cable, which is laid by AT & T in the Spanish island of Canary Islands, has a total length of 120km and a transmission capacity of 280Mbit, making it the world’s largest in terms of length and capacity. However, the submarine cable laid by Japan this time not only exceeded its distance, but also the largest transmission capacity in the world, 400Mbit.
