美国麻省理工学院(MIT)的研究人员发明了1种能够散发热量并自主收缩加压的线圈。研究人员将这种线圈编织入宇航服中,在通电使线圈加热到特定温度时,线圈便会拉动宇航服收紧。该线圈产生的压力甚至足以替代目前的加压气密宇航服,保证宇航员在真空环境中的正常活动。这种宇航服同时采用了被动弹性材料和活性材料,具有良好的灵活性,使宇航员轻装上阵成为了可能。
Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) invented a coil that dissipates heat and self-contracts under pressure. Researchers knit the coil into the spacesuit, energizing the coil to a specific temperature, the coil will pull the spacesuit tightened. The pressure generated by the coil is even sufficient to replace the current pressurized airtight spacesuit to ensure the normal activities of astronauts in a vacuum environment. This spacesuit uses both passive elastic materials and active materials at the same time, with good flexibility, making it possible for astronauts to take light.
