对虾、青蟹同属节肢动物门、甲壳纲、十足目,分类学上近缘,生态位接近。汕头市从80年代发展养虾开始便有虾农实施对虾—青蟹混养,张万隆1991年从对虾、青蟹生物学及生态学角度分析和肯定了它们混养的可行性。但近几年来研究发现青蟹可能作为对虾病毒原传播宿主,出现交叉感染,故混养模式在学术上争论颇多。作者从近年来大面积生产开发及科研课题工作认为:混养青蟹无疑提高了池塘综合经济效益。生产上如何趋利避害才是关键。当前,河口区池塘由于综合条件差,单养对虾病害严重,防治尚无万全之策,从经济效益角度上看,混养优于单养青蟹;从生产风险角度看,混养比单养对虾稳妥。现实上,
