在细胞培养中测定不同浓度苍耳子提取液对单纯疱疹病毒的抑制作用。结果表明：相当于生药量０．５ｇ／ｍｌ的苍耳子提取液，１∶５稀释时，可完全抑制疱疹病毒的生长，１∶１０稀释时，可抑制１００ＴＣＩＤ５０疱疹病毒的生长。在所用的药物浓度范围内，对正常细胞无毒害作用。
The inhibitory effect of different concentrations of Xanthium sinensis on herpes simplex virus was measured in cell culture. The results showed that Xanthium sibiricum extract equivalent to 0.5g/ml crude drug could completely inhibit the growth of herpes virus when diluted 1:5. When diluted 1:10, it could inhibit the growth of 100TCID50 herpesvirus. Within the range of drug concentrations used, there is no toxic effect on normal cells.
