The first satellite of the new-generation geostationary meteorological satellite FY-4 was launched into space atop a LM-3B launch vehicle from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center at 0:11Beijing time on December 11.After over 6 days’flight and 5orbital maneuvers,the FY-4 satellite was positioned at 99.5°E over the equator successfully at 17:00 Beijing time on December 17.
