作为20世纪初东西方文化中独具个性的两位作家,杰克·伦敦和沈从文分别从不同的视角关注了处于弱势地位的中国人。前者以美国西海岸中国移民的生活为题材,后者以湘西世界的“乡下人”为主人公。本文以两位作家的创作视角为比较基点,围绕作品的分析探讨两位作家相似与相异的人物形象、主体意蕴、审美追求,并由之关照作者的文化背景,从而试图在中西文化的碰撞与融合中寻找一种客观公正的方法来关照文学文本。 As the two writers who are unique in Eastern and Western cultures at the beginning of the 20th century, Jack London and Shen Congwen paid attention to the disadvantaged Chinese from different perspectives. The former takes the life of the Chinese immigrants on the west coast of the United States as the theme, while the latter takes the “country folk” in the west of Hunan as its main character. Based on the analysis of the works, this thesis attempts to explore the similarities and differences between the two writers, the main implication and the pursuit of beauty through the author’s cultural background, so as to try to find out the collision between Chinese and Western cultures And seek a kind of objective and fair way to take care of literary texts.
