锂玻璃闪烁体是一种对热中子探测较理想的探测器。它与其他闪烁体相比,温度效应较好,能在100℃左右工作,温度系数较小,因此对石油工业中的中子-中子测井极为有利。 选取较好的配方是制备好锂玻璃闪烁体的首要条件,我们做过四种配方的闪烁体。经过反复试验,以α脉冲幅度高、分辨好的选择原则,我们选取了一种配方。根据这种配方,我们制成了φ40×3mm的锂玻璃闪烁体,它与英国NE公司的NE905(同类产品,同样规格)进行比较,用中子源激发锂玻璃,测量结果见表1。由表1可见。我们制备的锂玻璃闪烁体核性能与NE905相当,工艺重复性也较好。
Lithium glass scintillator is a better detector for thermal neutrons. Compared with other scintillators, it has better temperature effect and can work at about 100 ℃ with a small temperature coefficient, so it is very beneficial for neutron-neutron logging in petroleum industry.
