自十九世纪中期,在黄河三角洲这块土地上,以“秧歌腔”等民间小调为基调,吸收“凤阳歌”及其他剧种的营养,在黄河三角洲广大劳苦大众的精心培育下,孕育出了我国八大剧种之一—吕剧。此间盐垛及周边村庄的艺人们为此付出了艰辛,从唱门—坐唱—化妆演出;以“捋(驴)戏”到吕剧定名,盐垛村及周边村庄的艺人都倾注了自己的心血。本文经过认真调查访问和反复查阅资料,作了认真研究而写成的。文章列举了大量的人和事,从而证明了吕剧是黄河三角洲这块土地上广大劳动人民的共同努力而产生的。而盐垛村及周边村庄的艺人起到了不可替代的作用。
