当前占据认知科学主流的是认知科学的计算主义纲领,对这一纲领进行系统研究的代表性人物就是泽农·派利夏恩。派利夏恩计算主义理论的核心命题即“认知是一种计算”,他主张对受表征支配的过程与功能建构之间做出区分,对功能建构加以限制,因此被称为“限制功能建构”的计算主义理论。尽管他的理论不能克服计算主义本身的困难,但是其计算主义思想为认知科学和心灵哲学的发展做出了突出的贡献。
The current mainstream of cognitive science is the computationalist program of cognitive science, and the systematic characterization of this program is Zenon Palisien. The core proposition of Perisian computationalism theory is that “cognition is a kind of calculation.” He advocates the distinction between the process of representation and the construction of functions and the restriction of the construction of functions. Therefore, it is called the “restriction function Constructivism ”of computational theory. Although his theory can not overcome the difficulties of computationalism itself, his computationalist thinking has made outstanding contributions to the development of cognitive science and spiritual philosophy.
