The terrain around the new library in Ceuta is very steep and there is a 14th-century Arab archeological site in the base that restricts the interior of the library. In addition, land for design is relatively tight, and the City of Ceuta, the autonomous region of Spain in the north African coast, the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, is itself densely populated. The rectangular boundaries of this ancient site originate from the planning grid throughout the city. Triangular structures located right above the archeological sites follow this system, and the geometry of the new building should also reflect the planned value of the ancient Arab city.
